Luis Gonzalez joined the Subsea Europe Services team as our new Senior Hydrographic Surveyor and GIS expert on 1st January 2021. A Geodesist Engineer and Surveyor with 9 years of experience in different areas such as Land Surveying, Cadastre, photogrammetry and Hydrography, Luis has worked as an Offshore Surveyor in Venezuela, Nicaragua, Aruba, Uruguay and United Arab Emirates for the last seven years.
A Venezuelan national, Luis earned his Bachelor of Engineering, Surveyor and Bachelor of Engineering, Geodesist Engineer degrees in 2010 and 2011 respectively, at the Universidad Del Zulia (LUZ), Maracaibo, Venezuela. Coming from his most recent job in the dredging industry in the UAE, he brings extensive experience to the new position of Senior Hydrographic Surveyor at Subsea Europe Services, including deep operational knowledge of multibeam technology from diverse manufacturers and different software suites including ESRI’s ArcGIS platform.
