Since joining Subsea Europe Services as a Field Technician in September 2024, Mario Bahrdt has become a key member of our team.
His role encompasses a variety of tasks. From testing and maintaining equipment to managing stock and supporting mobilisation and demobilisation (MOB and DMOB), he helps to ensure that Subsea Europe Services field operations go as planned while delivering the results our clients expect.
Mario enjoys the challenges his role presents. “I get a lot of satisfaction from finding solutions to technical and operational problems,” he shares. Further, he tells us that a secure and future-oriented workplace, coupled with a supportive team environment, is what makes his job engaging and fulfilling.
Memorable experiences from his time at Subsea Europe Services so far include his first MOB and DMOB of a multibeam system alongside experienced colleagues, and the opportunity to participate in testing our Mantas T12 Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV).
Mario’s contributions extend beyond the field, however. One of his early achievements has been independently developing a storage system to streamline inventory management. Mario applied principles of the 5S method to optimise storage zones, sort materials, and maintain order. This initiative has ensured more efficiency and reliability in managing subsea products and systems.
For those looking to enter his line of work, Mario offers valuable advice: “Be open to new challenges, willing to work hard, and ready to engage with the team. Initiative and respectful interaction are key, along with a positive attitude and openness to learning.”
Mario’s dedication to innovation, teamwork, and operational excellence reflects the values that drive Subsea Europe Services forward and highlight the fact that every team member plays a vital role in advancing our mission to simplify the acquisition and analysis of marine data.
