Janne Silden appointed as new VP Sales at Subsea Europe Services

We’re pleased to announce that we have appointed Janne Silden as the new VP Sales at Subsea Europe Services.

Janne is a mechanical engineer and an international sales & management professional with more than 20 years of marine experience, in addition to being a well known podcaster covering the industry.

While officially starting at Subsea Europe Services at the beginning of April, Janne joined us at Oceanology International 2024 this March. So, many of our partners and industry colleagues have already met her, and will know she has a solid technical understanding while being incredibly enthusiastic about building and maintaining strong relationships.

It was a great opportunity to accompany the team and meet so many new people in London,” said Janne. “Subsea Europe Services is a young, dynamic and successful company with some amazing uncrewed platform technology and integrations. With so much in the pipeline, now is an exciting time to come on board and help to create new opportunities across the marine commercial, scientific and security markets.”

Fluent in Norwegian, English, and German, Janne holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science & Technology (NTNU). Her subsequent career has covered a wide variety of technical fields in diverse positions with respected companies including Kongsberg Maritime and Wärtsilä.

“Coming from larger corporations, I am really looking forward to working with a smaller, focused team and the wider marine survey and underwater inspections markets,” added Janne. “I am a firm believer that successful business is all about the story and especially the people behind it, and I am proud to be part of the next chapter in the Subsea Europe Services book.”

Janne has dedicated her time over the last few years to assisting German companies in developing a base in the Norwegian marine market. The COVID-19 pandemic also led to Janne channelling her passion for the marine industry into hosting her own podcast, with the goal to dive into intriguing topics like cultural differences and cutting-edge technologies.

“We created the role of VP Sales to strengthen our customer relationships following the successful funding round which concluded in March ,” said Daniel Esser, Director Business Development, Subsea Europe Services. “Janne is an important addition to the team, and we are confident that her professionalism, extensive technical background and sales experience will become integral to our work going forward.”
